If I ever gonna make it, then… Many different ideas crossed my mind about this specific situation when I was still on the road. And right now I cannot remember a single one. There were pathetic and tearful descriptions about letting go the thing you love to do. Or I could serve a whole pile of statistics. Until I reached New York I was travelling for… Good question, how long was I travelling? Can I include the other travels into this counting? At least the first motorcycle world trip was the reason why I returned to New York now. Because the first one started here. Somehow they are linked and when it comes to cock-seizing, the figures are much more impressive. More than 97,000 kilometers (60,000 miles) in more than two years in I don’t know how many countries.
I won’t thank my family and the few friends back home who supported me during this long time away from seeing each other in a public note. I prefer to hug each one of them when I return.
I do thank my sponsors for that they trusted me. Emil Weber Motos (KTM Switzerland), Freidig Moto-Active and Zaugg Emballeur AG. A picture from Uluru (Ayers Rock) was promised, that it became a few miles more won’t bother you, I guess.
I must thank the people I met on the way for sharing time and thoughts with me or helped me in one or the other way and made this journey to a unique lifetime experience. THANK YOU!
What lies behind is written and you can read it on this web site. A few people asking me what’s coming next? First of all I’m incredible tired. My perspective of returning home, being broke, no own place to live and no job is not exactly what cheers me up. Nonetheless I’m happy to see my family and friends again.
It’s also time to say good-bye from you, dear reader. I decided that this is it. Oh no, I’m not tired from travelling, I have hundreds of places I want to go. To discover new or to return to. I’ve seen so much, it’s something between everything and nothing. But my alter ego in this virtual world dies when these last words are written. Phil the traveller won’t return (until next time). Thanks for joining me and see you out there.
And tomorrow is a new day, like every day.
